Ola.!!! Today's topic Sephora Malaysia!!!!
Beauty geeks heaven alike for me that is. Lol. When Sephora landed in Malaysia, it was a dream come true. But to my dismay i live far away from any available Sephora. ROFTL.
I will peek, glance thru and look at those itsy, biggy beauties that makes my hand and heart itchy and eventually make a hole in my big behind pocket. LOL. Now, outlets have been booming most in KL and Selangor and some legs and hands in Malaysia. When will it come over my town a?? Though not much big varieties of brand has land in Malaysia yet( like those in the US) but we still can look forward to it. Well, we are fortunate enough to have Sephora in our land. Some don't even have the luxury to get what we get.
The thing is, today i'm not going to rant how good Sephora is in Malaysia but something that i had notice and would like to share with you all. Back then when Sephora has no online platform in Malaysia, they kinda have this collaboration with Zalora which was based in Singapore. See my post on Zalora here. But the collab seems to be short. After that it seems Sephora has bought over Luxola.com. if anyone has heard of it before would knew that this is a beauty online website that retails some of the ang mou brands of cosmetics and tools not available in Malaysia's shore. No offence i love Sephora. It has given me the joy of obtaining some of the beauties we saw youtubers out there rave about. But the thing is, there is something about the pricing. You see Sephora's online platform, from what i gather (think) operates from Singapore?? The packages they sent for my purchase is from Singapore It looks like it. So pricing in Malaysia might have been quite off due to the exchange rate?? I'm not sure but for a certain of time, when i saw the price in Sephora's physical outlet or at any brand cosmetic outlet out there, the price seems to be much more expensive in Sephora Malaysia online.
For e.g,
1) I was browsing thru Sephora's online website early this month for Shu Umera's Anti Oxide Cleansing Oil , the 450 ml and was looking at the price. (Why not gather some points, since Sephora offer free shipping from RM80 and above right).
This screenshot was done on 23/7/2016 @ 5.57 pm malaysia time. You see the difference in pricing? Sephora's shows RM450 and Shu Umera's Malaysia website was RM330.
2) I was on a hunt for Burbery Kisses lipstick on I think in April? . So i went to both Sephora and Burbery Malaysia's website.

No offence i love Sephora it is still my go to store for the best variety cosmetics and beauty products you can get in Malaysia , it's a total joy to go in and browse and buy beauty products from them. There staff are friendly and helpful. The hike in price might be a technical error or something else. I'm not pinpointing anything but for those who are like me, ( every penny counts) just go out and do your research before any purchase made. Luckily for me, i did my research before buying and i've save some tons of money. Lol.
