Polly....Polly... Polly who??

Polly Pocket of course!!! For the new generation of today, you might know Polly and Friends cartoon series but not the Polly Pocket i know. Click here to know more -----> Polly who? If i might not be mistaken, Polly and Friends might be an extension from Polly Pocket. I totally am not sure.They kinda resemble the Polly Pocket look.

Long story short, Polly Pocket is a toy. YES I KNOW. You might guess the age of this writer already. HAHAHAHAH. I'm an ancient dinosaur. LOL. The hit of Polly Pocket was huge in the early 1990s till the 2000s era using the power of TV advertisements until it kinda diminish in interest somehow for the new generation. Nobody can blame them. Technology was at peak with new Nintendo and Play Station. Guess physical toys using imagination has worn off on most youths even today. This toy was however not your average toy. Production was slowly discontinue in the early 2000s i guess. In the year 2000s, the essence and shapes and size kinda went hay wire, in my opinion to cater that current market segment. To me, it was sentimental value. Or more like chasing back my childhood satisfaction. lol.  I still remember the first time i encounter my introduction of Polly Pocket. It was this one here.

Polly Pocket Pencil Case 1990

Wah!!! it was from this rich gal and i was blown away... OF COURSE LA, COME ON WHAT ARE THE ODDS YOU CAN PLAY IN SCHOOL WITHOUT BEING PUNISHED. LOL. 

Every now and then i will diajak to play. I'm quiet and reserved then and totally not like the loud and obnoxious type i am today. HAHAH. It was the perfect miniature doll house complete with the so called fully function 'rooms & utilities'  and dolls which acts as a pencil case at the same time. Time flies quickly and i envy her much. Yup I'm human too. Who doesn't??? Lol. 

Persuaded my parents to buy one. But to my dismay( it is still my pleasure receiving presents from my parents, don't get me wrong), they have no idea what the heck it was and they brought back Disney's Esmeralda Set from their overseas trip then which i'm still happy with but to my horror thinking back. DENGG!!! I SHOULD KEEP IT!!!. Unable to Mr Google it. I had fun Esmeralda, you'll always be in my heart.

I had no idea  what came over me this year but i managed to find one. Saw 3 sellers online. From Carousell, Facebook & Etsy. Incomplete sets might go down below RM100. A complete set is more than that.

Before that i research what type of Polly Pocket i want and hunt them. Lol. My first choice was the pencil case. But after much thinking. Neh not kinda worth the price i'm gonna paid. So luckily manage to hook up with one seller from Carousell and kinda pre reserved the item which took like 2 months. Man, the time frame i wait was long. At the same time anxious bout the item, is it in good condition or not?

Behold Baby Sitter Stamping Set 1992 version. The condition was superbly good. I really didn't expect this. It came a little dirty but no major scratches and the dirt and grime can be wipe away with antibacterial wipe. OCD Alert!!  The colour had not faded much. Its around 1.5 inch in height and 6.5 inch in width. Miniature ma.

The detail inside is nicely kept and superb though the stickers kinda peel off slightly. Yet still AAA OOk. Look at it, you can find youtube for a video reviews but not by me. HAhahah.

The dolls are in 3 babies, a stroller and a baby sister which is also in good condition. Eyes mouth paint job on the dolls still attached. The dolls are around 2-3 cm?? I think so. It's tiny, totally a hazard for toddlers and small children alike.

The bench is actually the stamp pads of both blue and red which can be pull apart. Same goes with the swing, slide and the sea saw. I'm not sure if this is a complete set but hell it is expensive around RM170?? excluding postage aaa..But overall still in love.

Sigh wat a sucker am i for things like this.
